Paste or type any text and have it read aloud. Choose a voice from those installed on your device, then adjust speed, pitch and volume. It is useful for proofreading, learning pronunciation, reading long articles while you do something else, or accessibility. The speech is produced by your browser, so your text is not sent to any server.

Frequently asked questions
Which languages and voices are available?
That depends on your device and browser. Windows, Android, macOS and iOS include different voices, and you can often add more in your system settings, including Urdu and Arabic on many devices.
Can I download the audio as an MP3?
No. Browser speech synthesis can play audio but does not allow saving it as a file.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The browser speaks the text on your device.
Why is there no voice for my language?
Your device may not have a voice for it installed. Check the text-to-speech or language settings of your operating system to download one.
Why does long text stop or sound different?
Some browsers limit how long a single piece of speech can be. This tool reads long text in parts to avoid that, but a very long document may still pause on some devices.
