Frequently asked questions

Which browsers and devices work?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer. Phone browsers generally do not support screen recording.

Why is there no sound from my computer?

Browsers decide which audio can be shared. Sound is usually available when you share a single tab, and on Windows when you share the entire screen. Tick the sound option in the sharing prompt.

What format is the video?

WebM. Most computers can play it in a browser, and free converters can change it to MP4 if you need that.

Is my recording uploaded anywhere?

No. The video is created and kept in your browser only until you close or reload the page, so download it before you leave.

Is there a time limit?

The tool sets no limit. Very long recordings use a lot of memory, so shorter clips are safer.
